The Soup May 1

The Soup May 1 Australia special was one of the funniest Soup’s I’ve seen lately (ok, yes I say that every week) but it’s really really true this time, I really really mean it. Really?

Anyway special guest Dominic Monaghan dropped by to talk to Joel McHale about his part in the new Wolverine movie even though Soup staff just wanted to talk about Lost. Mankini was great in this skit with this lines “Will you tell me about the whispers?” and after Monaghan storms off says “What’s Lost?” But I just have one question; does Mankini stuff his bikini top? It was looking a little full tonight.

There were a few great lines in the show including preview window’s cheeky wit after Joel commented on fake TV weddings and it responded by showing Heidi & Spencer’s wedding, “Well played preview window”

But the best line of the show would have to be Joel on Kim Kardashian:

“Kim Kardashian was on Tyra to discuss her new exercise DVD … I thought she already released one?” – Joel McHale

Funny stuff.

This episode also saw quite a few new segments including “Stay Out Of It, Nick Lachey!”, “Who Sings Like That?”, “I Love Liquor” and “Let’s Take Some A!”

Joel was also able to emulate his man crush David Caruso again when he showed a clip from CSI Miami.

And was there a premonition on the show? When Charlie slapped the bear Tank in the face tonight it got me thinking about another slap in the face that was promised by Mickey Rourke - spooky!

And of course the funniest moment of the show was after the clip of the week when Joel made a line about the girl from Ladette to Lady saying “I think that’s Kerri Anne – That’s for you Australia”.

This had me rolling on the floor with laughter – although I’m not sure Kerri Anne will be doing the same. Touché Joel McHale, loved it!
