This week on the 8 May The Soup, Joel McHale stretches his acting muscles as he performs the robot dance, billionaire impersonations and a Shakespearean ‘Spencer’ monologue in preparation for his upcoming TV series Community (congrats again Joel), however the most impressive acting moment of the show came when we watched the Tyra clip with her talking about her Prom Queen drama on the Rachel Ray show. The restraint Joel showed in his delivery was just outstanding.

There were lots of other weird stuff on the show with Ty Murray from Dancing with the Stars wearing a rather hideous cougar coat, the new ‘baby in a bucket’ product and of course we learn that Donald Trump is turning into an Oompa Loompa.

Bob Saget dropped by to pimp his new TV series Surving Surburbia and demonstrated on Joel the official heterosexual man hug technique.

I couldn’t decide on the best line for The Soup this week, so I’ve got two for you:

Britney’s cries for help were not picked up on her microphone, most likely because it was turned off while she lip synched – Access Hollywood

Apparently his testicles are bleeding … I’m sorry I know there is no way to sugar coat that one – Sandhurst, Make Me A Supermodel

This week’s Soup clip wasn’t actually featured on The Soup (but should have been), because it again follows Joel’s acting progression as he shows his range by appearing in this little known sci-fi movie called Star Trek:
