community 239x300 Community on NBC ReviewsSo NBC’s Community has just aired across the US and now I want to know what you think!  Was Joel McHale any good?  Which characters did you like / not like? (I’d give you my own opinion but because I’m in Australia I haven’t seen it yet).

I’ve read all the TV publicity reviews that all seem to give it a thumbs up, but now I want to hear from you – the real viewers at home.

Could this be the best thing that Joel has ever done or is it doomed?

So, I can’t find your contact info, but you can read about Joel McHale’s interview dishing on Ryan Seacrest and Community at:

    http://badgerherald.com/blogs/.....shes_o.php

He divulges, “He (McHale’s son) would see Ryan Seacrest on the air, my wife would go, hey Eddie, who’s on the TV right now? And he would go, daddy! And I’m like ah…”

    and

“I am not the king of E!. The kind of E! would be one man named Ryan Seacrest… He is the king. He is the emperor and ruler of E!. And I am yet a court jester to his domination,” McHale gushed.

    enjoy!

Very disappointed in you Joel. Thought you had more in you than what shows up in The Community.

Community was awesome!!! This pilot exceeded my expectations. I especially loved the subtle “Seacrest” reference. You’d have to watch the Soup to laugh as hard as I was. Thanks!

  5. DUI Attorney says:

Joel’s portrayal of a suspended DUI Attorney is funny and rings very true of some DUI lawyers. In one scene, he says he use 911 and patriotism to win a trial, which is exactly what happened in courtrooms across America in 2002. Joel is a good guy underneath, and he did an awesome job of letting that shine through in his character, who is such a jerk you want to hate him, but end up liking him despite yourself.

I was disappointed Joel. You were the least funniest character on the show. I think you’re hilarious on Talk Soup but you just talked too much on the show and never actually said anything funny. Also, the main chick lacks a personality and she’s pretty boring. However, I like the show and I’ll tune in next week!

I was extremely happy with the way the pilot introduced us to the cast of characters. Each have great individual character identities, all funny, and they play off of each other well! Joel is one of my favorite ‘Soup’ hosts since John Hensen! Hopefully the success of ‘Community’ won’t cause us to lose him on ‘The Soup’!! Color me jealous of the Britta character, for her having Joel’s attention! I wish she had a better personality that flowed out to us, otherwise why is he interested? I love the friendship between the two younger male characters- hilarious!! Great job so far!!

Community last night was laugh out loud funny. I called everyone at work a “gay douchebag ” all day long. Told everyone I know to tune in next week. If this show gets canceled I will be pissed.
